Diabolos, Chinese Yo-yos and Diablos

The word Diabolo is Greek and means "to toss" or "to throw" which is exactly what this fun toy is known to do.  They originate in Asia and are also known as the Chinese Yo-yo.  There is not much difference between a yo-yo and a diablo; The Diabolo is simply the yo-yo unleashed! 

The idea is to keep the toss spinning in one direction because it is a gyroscope and becomes easier to manipulate when spinning faster.  Once the toss is spinning you can toss it up into the air, catch it back on your string and perform a wide variety of tricks.

While practicing with a diabolo, you are enahncing your hand-eye-coordination, dexterity and left-right-brain connection all while having fun.  This will help out with other subjects, activities and sports like math, piano and baseball.
